Megatron in the Transformers game on PS2 that came out in 2002 i think. I tried and failed to beat him many times until I stumbled across a glitch where i got stuck half in a wall and he couldn't shoot me but i could shoot him. That was good enough for me, he was just too hard.

It's not really a BOSS, but rather an (almost) unbeatable character:

G. Ceara, from Super Monaco GP, the guy who gets your seat at Madonna after beating you on the first 2 rounds of the second season. Seriously, no Weapon from FFVII gave me such a hard time, and I've yet to beat this guy to keep my Madonna car!

At the start of the title defense year, the player is challenged by a new rival, G. Ceara, who is nearly impossible to beat in the first two races. If the player loses the first two races of the defending season to Ceara, he is dropped by team Madonna and goes to the inferior Dardan team

Emerald Weapon in FF VII (without the underwater materia >.> Beat him but holy ****). The last 3-4 bosses in a row in Ninja Gaiden 2 e_e I didn't have enough money to buy the 1 extra herb I needed

I beat the one for the Xbox in less than a week. The NES version I never even got to the last level. FYI you can unlock the original 8-bit version on the Xbox Ninja Gaiden.

I only got halfway through the XBOX version so yeah... I seem to remember you had to complete the game to unlock the 8 Bit version.

Yeah, the two for Xbox is easy.. Nothign like the 8-bit years.. Now, that was the best times.. You gotta play the game over and over again, just so you can maybe beat it in a sit down... Because if you didn't beat it in a sit down, you'd be still starting from square one! God I remember playing the sh1t out of all the Mega Man games.. from Nes on!

no I was around in the 8-bit days just poor. never owned a gaming console. longest i got to play any 8-bit game was 2 hours before the guy that owned it took the controller back. never got to any bosses in that time.

Just about every NES game I ever played had the most difficult bosses compared to games I've played on later consoles. I can honestly say, I've only ever beat one game on the NES without cheating and that was Goonies II. The worst boss that I can recall even when cheating though was the emperor from Chrystalis. Sometimes my thumb would get tired from holding the Barrier magic button down and his magic would turn into a slime which I couldn't figure out how to recover from. God, that was a long time ago. I should try all of those old games again to see if I've improved since I was ten.
