Ive just got a 4870 1gb with the powercolor cooler, i know my psu aint too up to the job now, im getting a coolermaster real power 620w next week to fix that though. What i would want to know is:

Are Idle temps of 55c and loads of 75-80c ok?
If im using a single molex to 6 pin and a double molex to 6 pin together to power the card can that cause any complications or volt inbalance?
Can a power supply cause a graphics card to perform poorly and cause bad temps?

Appreciate any help anyone can give :)

Is it a reference design? Anyways don't worry those are normal temperatures, HD4870/4890 have a slow fan setting so their temperatures are quite high but they are pretty silent thanks to that.

Yh it is a reference design, i was really worried that something was wrong, hopefully it might be a bit cooler when ive got rid of this turd x power psu. i think getting a modular is going to improve the airflow a lot in my case anyways.
