A quiet CPU cooler is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro:

Or Thermaltake Big Typhoon:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106061
Or Zalman CNPS9500:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?DEPA=0&type=&Description=CNPS9500&Submit=ENE&Ntk=all&N=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

The Freezer 64 Pro would be best IMO for a quiet cooler, and it's cheap too, and competes w/ the other two.

maybe some of these for quieting down your case fans:

I would go for the Zalman CNPS9500 or a Zalman CNPS7000 series. Great performance and very low noise. In my opinion Zalman is the best brand for silencing your PC. I also suggest you remove the 2 70mm fans in your front bays. The 120mm intake fan is enough as an intake.

To get a real silent PC, remove al fans you dont reallly need (experiment and watch temps) and after that lower the speed of the fans you have left with a fancontroller and make sure your wire-management is in top shape. Good luck :p

My wire-management is in pretty good shape (wire looms and whatnot and plenty of room for airflow). The two 70mm fans in the 5.25 bays never run. they are wired to the side of the case where i can easily plug/unplug the molex's together. however, i hardly ever use them because they are so freakin loud. thanks for the recommendation, ive heard good things about Zalman coolers. i have an AMD AthlonXP 2700+. will the Zalman CNPS9500 fit on my motherboard (Biostar M7VIT Pro)

The Zalmans are great and silent coolers. Especially the CNPS9500, but the Freezer 64 Pro has nearly the same performance, but way cheaper.

Whatever cooler you pick, make sure it fits your socket A motherboard.
