Hey man, I've been in the same boat for a while.... Been downgrading slowly.

Sold my main rig and bought a laptop (better for travel anyhow).

More macro keys, a bigger screen, blue backlighting instead of orange.

That is all personal preference though.

Basically rev1 and rev2 are the same keyboards, but rev1 has:

More macro-keys(rev2 has 6 physical keys / 3 modes for each G-Key). That means you can access all functions on r1 immediately
Unfoldable screen
According to reviews rev1 is more durable comparing to rev2. I don't have any confirmation for this fact, but one of my friends bought rev1 when it just came out - and it's still working as new.

According to reviews rev1 is more durable comparing to rev2. I don't have any confirmation for this fact, but one of my friends bought rev1 when it just came out - and it's still working as new.

I can't confirm rev2, but this board is just tough as nails!
