I want to buy a netbook for my dad... Preferred screen size is 11.6" to 13.3", Minimum processor power --> N270 or Z530, preferred is a SU 4100 or something like that

Budget is 600$ but flexible

I would love ASUS or HP but idk which brands are good other then them tbh, heard MSI is good?

Preferably not from newegg since I get taxed from there

I will be buy from 07660, unless canada is cheaper which is very unlikely

I love my Asus Netbook. I really do. Its a good choice. However it is too small for daily use. But its very good in regard of mobility.

oh yea and battery life is important too...

I like the 1005HA-pu1x but the problem is the screen is too small

I just picked up an ASUS Eee PC 1101HA, has the Z520 CPU, compared to my old 1005HA with a N270, the Z520 is much much weaker. I would get one with a N series Atom.

Not entirely true. Chipset and CPU, yes. But there are also other things like casing quality and cooling efficiency (and how silent it is).

Before you spend money on buying your dad something that you would like to have - be sure he wants a laptop, and if so, get him to try different screen sizes in a store. Everyone's eyes are different, but as you get older, dealing with a netbook screen can be pretty unpleasant for some. My dad's eyes are going and he absolutely HATES mobile phones due to their small screens. But his long distance vision isexcellent. He's very happy with his desktop and 20" TFT monitor. His eyes are 2-3ft from the screen. But I know he wouldnt like a 10" netbook where due to screen size you need to be about 18inch or closer. Just be sure you get something that suits his needs.

Wait for ASUS 12xxHA series. From what i've seen it's going to kick some butt. If i was buying a netbook sometime now, i'd buy this ASUS. But i'm not sure when exactly it'll be released.
