Any particular reason why not the egg shaped cooler? The one on the PC I built recently works wonderful.

Honestly, the slim margin that anything I've seen is really just down to the card, not the cooler. The rear memory chips aren't cooled on either version, just the fronts on the shroud, the fan blowing directly onto the heatsink/memory seems more than enough on the egg cooler. The shroud cooler does look better though

I bought a UD2H off Anandtech with custom mosfet heatsinks, I ripped 4 of them off and they fit almost perfectly over the 4 rear RAM chips on my v1 5770. :laugh:
