Which is the best anti-virus program for windows 7?

I need help with the anti virus programs. I have installed the Eset 4 anti virus program, but i think it really sucks, or is not the best. Hope u got experience with a better anti virus than this. If so pls help!

Avast is good but im liking microsoft security essentials atm it uses very low resources and works great for me and its free if your windows is legit

I run Avast on my Windows 7 laptop and desktop. I found that in Win7 Microsoft Security Essentials tends to slow down the computer more than Avast, however, the opposite is true in XP, where I run MSE.

I run Kaspersky 2010 version 9.
I did have a previous 2009 key so I just installed the trial downloader of 2010, and then instead of activating the trial I inserted my 2009 key and it is now activated until my 2009 version expires. Then when it does I will just buy a 2010 key (which you can get 3 for about £20) so I don't have to uninstall or install a new version

Very happy with it.

By the way, I tried to install 2009 first but it wouldn't install in Windows 7, hence me trying 2010.

Kaspersky and Nod32 are considered the best.

I prefer kaspersky, as i find it easier to use and takes pretty much no configuring.

i have used both, currently using MSE. MSE is great in that its easy, simple to use, provides good protection, is free, and most importantly, uses very little resources.

going form avast to MSE im now using 400-500MB less ram usage at idle, as well in decreased load times in games.

After all guys there is no need for anti viruses in windows 7 for now. I only asked u because i am experiencing problems with the so called "black screen of death". Anyway i found a solution and it is a program which modifies the registry keys in order not to appear that damn screen! U need to use it every time u start the computer or before turning it off. Click on the link below and download the file it says of. Use it every time!!! and dont forget it otherwise it will appear again!
