Hello,
I have an ASUS Rampage II (GENE) v2.xx Motherboard... What exactly are you wanting to do and why? Are you referring to a CPU cooler recommendation...Or are you talking about the North bridge and South bridge interconnected heat-pipe cooler...>>or the red/black ROG heat-sink attached to the top of the heat-pipe<<??? Please explain the mosfet heat-sink...Is that the one that's rectangular in shape at the end of the heat-pipe between the cpu and back panel connections.
Is this something to do with temperatures you observed on the LCD display...how do you observe your temps?
I'll also need more information pulled from the bios as IOH voltage, IOH PLL voltage, ICH voltage, ICH vCore voltages, your current QPI speed QPI PLL voltage.
Lastly is this anything to do with information read from ASUS "self help" misinformation forums.

If you choose to dig around here I remember some ideas that are listed. You may not need to make changes to the well performing heat-pipe and heatsink installed. The more I overclocked the "cooler" these parts run on stock voltages. One option is to attach a small 30mm fan directly ontop of the ROG heatsink and plug it into a 3 prong acces fan board plug 3 are unused unless you have attached extra chasis fans. If you are watercooling the CPU fan is no longer blowing hot air on these parts.
Are you concerarned about "mild" temps in the 60-70'C range? north/south bridge are rated to 100'C by ASUS specs. ???Are you overclocking??? have you preiviously adjusted the voltages listed above? The more information the better to understand your situation as I can help.
[EDIT] I just clicked on your specs from your profile. I see you also have a cooler master case simular to mine(except as you look at the bac of your case, at the 4th/5th expansion slot that is the bottom of mine, you must have a taller version of the same case.) I see you are in fact water cooling with a Corsair H5O setup, I can only assume you have had a hand in overclocking your setup.
