Btw, I unfortunately get the same low FPS even on 24 slots TF2 servers :/

see? TF2 source engine prob. in this game PING for example affects alot the gameplay. if one player have a 700 ping and others 45.. 90.. game gets ruined completely..

well my issues seem resolved after a series of issues. installed windows updates and turned off to give graphics card fan a clean. and had issues loading, then booting as motherboard went kaput

now got core i5 750 new mobo and ram with clean install and im ok.

DAMMIT!
Still haven't found a solution.
I've tried all kinds of stuff, including some kind of script which should boost FPS, but it didn't do much. Could this be related to my shitty internet connetion?

i play on a stock i5 750 and stock 5770 and i keep 60fps constant using vsync + all max settings. there must be some type of driver issue.

what gpu did you have b4 the 5850?

what OS do you use?

Dammit! Still not fixed. Nowadays I get 20fps in heavy firefights. Graphic settings don't do shit.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I overclocked my fucking four cores to 3.8Ghz and i have an HD5850. aargh!

it has to be some kind of software conflict.

No surprise. Your game will stutter at that ping no matter what kind of system you have. The same thing applies to sending a lot of packages to a server. Say speedhacking. Or the other way around, lowering down your rate to ridiciliously low numbers like 1000 or 500. You'll get 10 FPS in both situations. But there is another thing. Does this happen when you create a LAN server? By typing off sv_lan and creating a server... Or does it only happen in online? Also, does cl_showfps SHOW RED? Or does net_graph say 10-20 FPS? Is your game stuttering or are you just seeing that frame number from there? You need to answer these.

My game stutters every so often, and in mild firefights it already drops to 40-30 or even 20fps. I have acknowledged that this is not a hardware problem. What do you mean by "Does this happen when you create a LAN server? By typing off sv_lan and creating a server..."

I disabled my internets, made a local server and filled it up with bots. Still 40-20fps in firefights

bots are rather CPU intensive - try with just a few

I have noticed even tho Vavle games are made for ATI that they do favor a nvidia card better for some reason. i had a 1950X Pro 512 and a 6600GT and then 6600GT got way better FPS that the 1950X Pro
