Hey guys, today I'm on a budget again (as usual ). I'm considering getting either a heat sinc to overclock my Athlon X4 630 2.8ghz or getting a nice new headset. My current headphones are junky ones that are years old. I live in a small town so at the moment at least ordering out of town is not an option.

The headset's im looking at are either the Creative Fatality headset or the Platronic Gamecom 367 Headset. I'm not sure of which heat sinc to get if I decide to do that but here is the link to all the heatsinc's available at the store I will be shopping today and it would be greatly appreciated if you pointed one out..I'm new to overclocking but still want to give it a shot.

Skip the Fatality headset unless its cheap, like $25. I own one of those and that's how much I would pay for them. Heatsinks, look at Coolermaster Hyper 212+.

Thanks alot! The headset is going for $33 canadian so I mean it's at a decent price I figured since on newegg it's close to $60. How do you enjoy the headphones? Is the sound and mic quality any good?

Sound quality is decent, but not excellent. It has a very tight fit, and took me a few weeks of light usage to get use to them. Mic, not too bad. I use it to Skype and the people on the other side can hear me loud and clear. The Mic is quite stupid though, it sends everything over to the other side, including your loud fart. Please do bear in mind that my model is the HS800. The mic is detachable, a very useful feature.

Alright and the last question would be will my PC be able to run that headset fine with the drivers etc? The thing that worries me is that my front case headphone and mic jack DO NOT work, so I rely on my integrated mobo sound drivers. Am I gonna be able to use all the features fine by plugging the headset into my mobo? Specs in drop down menu :rockout:

Works whenever you can get sound out and mic in, in front of case or back.

Oh yes they do suck very well. Wonder how it compares to the Noctua NH-D14

The Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is very good for money too, regularly beats more expensive rivals.
