I like the HP series too, but those maps seem very familiar. I would have liked a total refresh that included all new maps.

You forgot El Nino and La Nina :p The dreadfully fast prototypes :p
I really wonder if they can bring back the feeling and atmosphere from NFS3 and NFS4.
They should really ditch stupid EA Trax and hire Romolo di Prisco (Morphadron) again for the music. The music from NFS3 still makes my skin crawl whenever i hear it.
Romolous, Triton, Pi, Minotaur. These menu tunes were just outstanding. Oh and the Aquila 303, Hydrus 606, Cetus 808 and Sirius 909. Man, no EA Trax can bring such memorable moments as these soundtracks made by Romolo di Prisco. He also made most of the soundtracks for NFS Porsche 2000. I just get these flashbacks of good old times if i think of the tunes and i can just see all the fun moments i had in these games. No matter how hard EA is saying they'll make the "oldschool" NFS, i don' think we'll ever see one again.

LMAO I remember the El Nino, haha that car was crazy, but there was a car in need for speed 2 special edition on PC, a cheat car called the FZ-2000 or sumthing like that, was twice better then the El Nino:laugh:

+1 to bringing Romolo di Prisco back.:rockout: Damn i still remember Cygnus Rift, Paradigm Shifter and Callista from NFS 4. They brought back the song Callista in Mass Effect 2 as the song for the Omega Afterlife Club.

Great. NFSHP2 was superb and a great online racer. I think it was the first online game I played successfully. (It worked fine with dial-up, unlike shooters where the lag was a real downer).

Let's hope there is an updated version of NFS Porsche Unleashed. Now THAT was the bizness.

No offence guys but the NFS franchise has went the way it did because of ppl who think that way.
Sure it's nice to modify cars but honestly i wouldn't care if all i could change was car color like in NFS3. I mean what good are car mods if the tracks are generic and boring, racing modes are boring etc. Only good thing i remember about Underground series was drag racing which was made really well and car tuning in NFS:U2 (i mean the car tweaking not the bling crap). Tuning it right sometimes made a huge difference, especially in CrossX tracks.

NFS needs these things to be good again:
- ditch the rice and include more exotics or prototypes
- ditch the open world and use dedicated thematically styled tracks, lots of them
- time charts with records, best laps, highest speeds etc etc, ghost car etc
- if there will be the "Be the cop" mode, you have to really stop the bad guys, not just slam into them till their damage meter is full (like it was in NFS3 and not like in NFS:HP2)
- ditch sucky gansta EA Trax and get some proper dedicated electronic music
- physics blend of NFS:MW and NFS:Shift
- add freakin MOUSE support in menus!
- make sure the game has good re-playability value
- and more that i forgot to mention
