Onboard LAN Disappears When Overclocked?!

In my mind, I'm thinking it's just the chipset/northbridge at fault here. Not many G31's can "brag and boast" about getting 400fsb.

My:
ASUS P6T-DLX was special... ummm special turd is more like it... :shadedshu
eVGA X58 E758 had it sometimes.
eVGA X58 E759 also sometimes
DFI X48 Sometimes my USB controller would even go missing.
I really have no exact idea on what its caused by.
The Lan controller is nowhere on the NB, SB, or anything you can feed extra voltage to for that matter.
IF anything it has to be linked to the PCI-E, but i highly doubt that.
Because if something simple like lan would fail, there is no possible way your gpu would not fail.
But i yeah i noticed 99.99999% of the time if you just enable it, you dont lose it.

the network card has to be linked by PCI or PCI-E (gigabit is usually by PCI-E) - so raising the PCI/E clocks when OCing on cheap boards, causes it to cut out.

i thought that... but then why does video work?
because its more tolerant of PCI-E clocks being raised.

the fsb is related to frequency of SB if the frequency becomes too high then some SB components wont work. Normal !!!
