No, a reviewer's review is not always their opinion on a particular item. A Radeon HD 5870 being more energy-efficient than a GeForce GTX 480 is not in Wizzard's opinion, it is for fact, W1zzard is establishing that fact scientifically for you.

Likewise, a reviewer can actually fill up his Survivor case with hardware (or rocks) and load test how the handle holds up, he can then establish for fact that a handle is flimsy or not.

Those are facts I can get from the specs sheet. Yes, running tests on items yields empirical data, but that is not fact. Empirical data is only considered fact when the test are constant and reproducible according to science. And while I trust W1zz to be fair and honest, that is not always the case. Regardless, the final verdict page with grades and if the review would recommend it or not is an opinion on all reviews.

And if you go back and read what I wrote, I didn't say anything about load issues. I was concerned about torque issues if you were to accidentally twist it side to side suddenly due to a stumble; and it blocking 33% of the vent in the top of the case. Especially when that is the only shown vent.

This is getting stupid and I am done.

200 mm fans not very common . . . what on earth are you talking about, I can walk into frys and buy them, more over are you saying companies should base what they put in their cases, based on what everyone else is doing. . . they did that for many many year, hence why for many years your choice was a beige box or if you were really lucky you could buy a box in black or maybe some other color . .. unheard of! Moreover isn't the argument moot when it already comes with the fans . .. ?

I probably should have worded that a bit better. :p

What I meant to say is that, right now, there are currently only FOUR vendors that make 200mm fans:

Cooler Master
NZXT
Xigmatek
Antec

Now, out of all of these Cooler Master was the company that put their support behind the 200mm design which made them a bit more popular. Previous to that Antec was the only company that had a 200mm fan and it just went nowhere for quite some time.

Now, compare this to fans 140mm and smaller and here is what I came up with:

AeroCool
APEVIA CORP.
Cooler Master
Zaward
CoolMax
EVERCOOL
Lian-Li
MASSCOOL
Noctua
NZXT
Scythe
Thermaltake
XClio
XIGMATEK

As you can see it's a much longer list and with this many vendors being out there prices are lower and you get a nice variety of designs to choose from. You compare this to the 200mm fans and not only are fans more costly but each fan is pretty much just a variation of the one before it with only the lighting and mounting being the major difference.

If 200mm fans get made by more vendors and the prices drop then I'll change my mind but until then four vendors does not a variety make. :toast:

No, a specs sheet won't provide you energy efficiency (performance:watt), only the TDP of the GPU, which is not the same thing. Energy efficiency tests are as consistent in reproduction, as any other scientific test can be, give or take negligible deviation. Applicable to my example, no review on the planet can tell you that GTX 480 is more energy efficient than HD 5870.

"Torque issues" cannot be used to discredit the handle's durability. If you were to "accidentally twist it side to side suddenly due to a stumble," it's not because "that handle will snap right off" (the original point), so if a load test shows the handle to be sturdy enough, then yours is a totally unrelated argument to the handle's durability.

; and it blocking 33% of the vent in the top of the case. Especially when that is the only shown vent.

On an unrelated note, I agree with you that the handle eats up valuable top ventilation space.

This is getting stupid and I am done.

Your argument about load was tangential and stupid, so I'm done.

You are not even paying attention. I never said anything about load issues for the second time. I don't give two cents about load on the handle....that was Easy's concert. I voiced my personal opinion about how the handle is designed with a single arm. I was not trying to add to an argument or concur with Easy about the handling looking weak, because I don't agree with him. I defended a friend cause I though he was getting dismissed for voicing an opinion. Then I voice my own opinion and I get the same treatment. Now you are just throwing salt in a wound.

Okay, your opinion has been made. Bta offered his opinion as well. The discussion is over and no reason to continue. Leave it be.

Thank you.
