o ok i unlock the extra pipes on my 6600, so i know what u mean. with CS's process i have to get a board that would unlock it. plus would kill the cash flow for a card.

Well i hate to say it but a 6000+ would bottleneck the GTX 460. how much, i dont know but it would be quite a bottleneck

Well you can still get the GTX 460 and it will do well its just you will see a BIG improvement if you upgrade CPU to a quad that can handle the card

GTX 460 is about as low as you can go in most game standards unless you get a 5770 used or a older DX10 card like a GTS 250 or 9800GT/GTX or 4870/4850

ok think i got it, im going to go with a cheaper card. look at this link go down to the bottem and theres a 450 with 1.5gig memory. what card is that? those specs seem better then the 460

Early 7 chipsets had sb600's. And it's a 790X.

Can't go wrong with either brand. I'd go for the one with the adapter so you don't have to worry about picking one up and adding a few bucks to the total. :pimp:

ya ur right, plus i know gigabyte is good with boards but i dont know about vid cards. i have seen evga around for awhile.
