Currently I have been on the search to help my brother find a vid card 4 his stock W3050 series Emachines. Link to Emachine Mobo Specs.
Now I do know that this mobo's limit on a card is 32 bit.. My question is... Is it possible to install a vid card that has 64 bit or higher and still work w/ the mobo? Would it underclock the vid card down to the mobo's max capability? or would it just not work at all?

So far the highest AGP 32 bit card that I can find is a Geforce MX4000 32 bit/ 128mg ddr Ram.. Can any1 help me or my bro out with this dilema? (I gots spelling issues LOL sorry)

ok so the magic question then... Will this mobo support just about any type of AGP Vid card? Allowing it to utilitize the full potential of the card?

ok, so if i buy a high end vido card, no matter what it will work. if the mobo wont go the the full extent of the card it will gonvern the card down to what it will handel, right. if that's right than i might fork out the extra $$ for a higher end card for future mods.

If you buy any AGP card it will be compabitable and work.
However, please be aware that you might need a bigger PSU for this to work since a better card means it takes more power

Thats good.
The other thing you have to be aware of is whether or not the CPU or RAM will bottleneck the card.
By the look at your system specs. it looks like your RAM will do it to you, but your CPU might as well.
So you prob. wont get the full potential out of a high end AGP video card

EDIT: What card are you looking at?

Forget about that 5200 crap.
Go for the 6800GT or the 800XT

Actually you can get X1800GTO for $199.99 (I don't know if theres agp version or not...)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102021
But X1800 are quite power hungry....

yeah that CPU and ram will bottleneck your video, but not so bad it renders games unplayable. I think you should be ok. Unless you just wanna buy a new system (cheaper than upgrading the whole thing)

those nvidia cards being posted really suck. The x800 would be multiple TIMES better than those. 6200 = last generations lowest end card.

Agreed. X800 is a powerful card and you can unlock the pipelines. It kicks anything around its pricerange. Its a muscle card.

Don't choose anything from the 5xxx range from nVidia, they truly suck, anything from the previous generations could kick its ass good.
