Another thing to check, do you have a PCIe 6 pin connected to the internal back end of the video card? May possibly be loose or disconnected. Check your motherboards 4pin in the upper left by the I/O ports.

Looking at mobo specs, 0601 is first release bios from what I can see and the 1055t's request 0704. Think he would need a different chip to update bios to allow use of the the current cpu? Anyone else have this board could you chime in please :)
Is there supposed to be a power cable in that four pin connector in the upper left? :banghead:

Most likely your bios dosn't support that chip. You need to update your bios to 0704 or later.

Edit: looks like they are at version 1102 know.

Double check shapes/sizes, compare to the pic I posted. I think it's the one marked 4p BUT TRIPLE CHECK!

Ya it will be an 8 pin one that splits into 2 only one of them will fit correctly.

They won't be exactly the same. Upon looking it's the one labeled 4P.
Plugged that in. Somehow I'm STILL getting no picture.

The red memory light by the memok! button is finally on all the time now though.

Ok, now attempt single stick of ram, 4 slots.

Nothing with either stick. Saw this on a review at newegg.

Cons: Bought Ripjaw 1600 series memory. A bust.
Either the memory is bad and mem check didnt detect errors or its just not compatible even though the board says it supports 1600 without overclocking

the build was AMD 1055t Asus board gskill 1600 ripjaw 2x2gig and something there just wasnt clicking correct checked all bios and nothing BSOD after BSOD non stop
tried the WD Black sata III and the Seagate 7200.12 baraccuda same issues so its the board mem and cpu issue

Other Thoughts: Went with a gigabyte board and 1333 gskill chip that is definetly compatible with each other (checked the amd and the board sheets to pick out tested products) no issues so far keeping fingers crossed

I have to say this would be my 3rd asus build and I never had issues before with asus I think its just a missmatch and an isolated incident. Buy the mem at 1333 with any 6core amd that is on the approved list and it should not be an issue. this 1055t has anboard mem at 1333 so i think thats where it was getting messed up.

I love asus but had to go with tested products this time was tired of RMA after RMA.
Do you think the memory is the issue? I could get some from Amazon by Monday, and RMA these tomorrow.

You need to get a lower end chip and test that out you would get beeps all over the place if you had bad memory.

This is the only CPU I have. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should RMA? I could return the mobo if that is the problem for something better.

I can send you a chip as long as you pay shipping both way for testing. And yes the 1055t should work fine if you have the right bios!

Edit: Sorry i thought i had a chip that was am3 the one i have is am2+. I say change out the board or see if you can barrrow a cpu to update the bios to get your cpu to work

I'll have to buy a new board. Any suggestions on a quality board?

Try out a memory swap I guess. I have no other things you can try other than putting both sticks in the board and pushing the MemOk! button.

Is there any other way to reset the bios other than taking out the battery? Also will I hear a beep on this mobo? I don't know if it comes with a speaker.

I hate problems like this so hard to identify.

It does sound like a ram issue to me though ( had a panic with my first rig for as my ram was DOA)

But sounding like and it being are two different things.

Any computer repair shops nearby?

Phone them up and ask if it be cool to pop by with some parts to test.

My local guy lets me do it for free.

I brought my case into the local computer shop. The guy was nice enough to let me try out another stick of RAM before charging me 50 dollars to look at everything. It turned out that it was the problem. Thanks.

Also thanks to everyone that helped.
