Kingston Technology Europe Ltd, an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the release of HyperX T1 Black DDR3 triple-channel memory kits. The new memory kits are designed to meet the performance requirements for the new Intel Core i7-990X chipset and X58-based motherboards and are available in kits of three or six modules and in capacities up to 24GB. Check out the Kingston HyperX 24GB Black T1 demo.

Our new HyperX T1 Black triple-channel kits give enthusiasts the opportunity to combine performance and style into their PC build, said Mark Tekunoff, Senior Technology Manager, Kingston. These high-capacity kits are ideal for the X58 products on the market, especially the new GIGABYTE G1-Killer gaming motherboards.

GIGABYTE is excited about the launch of Kingston's new Black T1 HyperX memory as it comes so soon after the GIGABYTE G1-Killer gaming motherboard announcement, commented Tim Handley, Deputy Director of Motherboard Marketing at GIGABYTE. “With their similar color schemes and target market, we are looking forward to seeing PC gamers pair their new Black T1 memory with GIGABYTE G1-Killer gaming motherboards.

Kingston is shipping three HyperX T1 Black 1600MHz DDR3 triple channel kits in 24GB, 12GB and 6GB configurations. HyperX T1 Black is available through Kingston's channel of authorized distributors, resellers, e-tailers and retailers. Kingston HyperX memory is backed by a lifetime warranty and free 24/7 technical support. For detailed information please visit the Kingston Web site at www.kingston.com/europe

Why would anyone want CL9 mem @ 1600MHz?

Mine run at CL7 @ 1600MHz and only 1.5v

I would say that a Gigabyte G1 Killer Motherboard paired up with my Mushkin Ridgeback Triple Channel RAM would both look and perform better than these kits and would be even better since it fits under most large CPU coolers such as a Noctua NH-D14.

(Just to add, my Ridgeback Kit is the original model which has the black fins, not the red ones like the new Ridgeback Red kits have.)

Exactly!

OCZ does(did) 1600MHz at CL8 at 1.35v

or

Mushkin does 1600MHz at CL6 at 1.65v

Personally, if its Intel then you are far better off with MHz than latencies as they have such an aggressive pre-fetch. Something like 1833MHz at CL8/9 or even 2133MHz at CL9 is pretty common now but don't seem to do it in 4GB DIMMs at that speed yet, not for sane money anyway.

Yeah, I'm confused also. I know DDR3-2133Mhz RAMs that runs with the same timings...
