Gaming peripherals expert Mionix is giving final touches to its latest offering to professional gamers, the Mionix Zibal 60 mechanical keyboard. The Zibal 60, we're hearing, is going to be a high-end mechanical keyboard designed for gamers. Unlike many mechanical keyboards that offer little more than the standard keyset, Zibal will offer backlit illumination for each key. Each key will be backed by a Black Cherry MX illuminated mechanical switches, which are known to provide good tactile feedback at low noise. Further, the keyboard will be plug and play, not needing additional driver software. Mechanical keyboards are favored to provide high durability and tactile feedback compared to common membrane type keyboards. For now there's just a sneak peak image of the business-end of the keyboard. The Mionix Zibal 60 mechanical keyboard will launch in six days from now.

From the second picture doesn't look so bright even at night. I like when a keyboard is red (or whatever color) even with the lights on. Needs BRIGHT LEDS and a 3 - 5 level settings so u can turn them down. I hate when red keyboards turn pink and the lights are dim or halfway on. The best so far I've seen is on my G9 (mouse) looks red with the lights on and even with the windows open. (unfortunatly there keyboard(s) don't) I just wish they glowed really good all the time. One can only hope its as bright as that first picture but i highly doubt it. I'm smelling some pshop maybe???

Plug and play? If its just USB there's a chance it may not have N-key rollover

i think its a light pipe the picture above my also by pshoped for advertizment purposes. But most keyboards refract light threw some plastic clear pipeing. I dont care about the method i just want a "brilliant" keyboard i know they can do it i just duno what happens in the dev process maybe its cost. but we wont know till we really see it

Looks detachable, the 7G isnt detachable.
I can never afford a mechanical keyboard i wish they where cheaper.

EDIT: The reason they use certain colours for LEDs is to make it easier to read or for colour blind folk. I know some people instinctively know where a key or by learning.

I hope they offer a model with MX Browns or Clears. So far, Deck is still the only backlit mechanical boards that do, and they are just too expensive for me to justify purchasing.

Well, at least they didn't drop the ball like Razer, and make them clicky keys. If these are reasonably priced like the Razer BW's, I might just settle for a board with linear switches.

Since I have 7G, I must tell you that 7G wrist rest is detachable (or rather say, you can simply lift it up and remove from keyboard).

There is few cheaper mechanical keyboard, though not that much cheap. 7G is pretty much worth it, if you get good piece (there are unfortunately even bad pieces which can have faulty controller that is either dead or will die by using it).

Yup, but it isnt. Its one piece thats not only wrist rest, but surrounds entire keyboard. To remove it, you just lift it up and you will be left with what looks exactly like 6Gv2. :)

Actually its pretty usefull, cause you can remove it, wash it, and than put back, as its just one piece of plastic with no connection to keyboard.

looks more like the Thermaltake MEKA G1 to me :ohwell:

MEKA G1

As some1 stated before, the 7G's wrist rest surrounds the keyboard itself and the MEKA G1's wrist rest clips on.

You physically take the keyboard out rather than just slide on a rest. I get it now lol.
