$400 is not a lot to work with.
I would look at an inexpensive DIY kit on the 'egg or for good prices in the BST forums.
BST forum will get you more bang for the buck than anywhere else I know.
I've got some fantastic deals there by just asking for things in my price range.

You could maybe do a mediocre Llano system for around $425-450, but to be honest, you're better off getting pre-owned parts or saving some more money.

Problem is there's no point in buying Amd unless your going Llano

Basically, I want to sell my computer, and use the money from it for something new. I may get a job soon, so I can probably use some money from that if I need to.

it's an significantly upgraded integrated GPU , but it's still low-end rank.


plus, AMD has better APUs in terms of graphics. Raw processor speed is unnecessary, id go with an AMD , since the top desktop parts i think are already out or will be very soon.

I suggest everyone has a form of a backup video card or integrated graphics from a fallback standpoint.

that's really only needed as failsafe if you screw something up with GPU or when installing new hardware (ex, problems with new GPU, like im having now in another thread)

I never buy my self an integrated GPU mobo , but i did for my family PC, they have a mobo that's just right for that kind of PC and has integrated GPU for failsafe, because it's a business pc, it's more imporant to have such features.

I'm going to assume you just misread this and didn't think he was actually implying that the OP uses the integrated GPU. I am 90% confident he meant save up to $700 and build around a SB CPU and get like a 6850 or some other mid-range card.
