Gimme a HR03, Accelero S1, Trad2, Setsugen, Twin Frozr, etc instead thanks.

those would shit all over the temp inside your case, and that would effect every other component there.

Despite the 6950/6970 sounding like a hair dryer. Im quite happier with it this way then with 2x 5850s with AC Twin Turbo Pro's dumping hot hair inside my case.

One card might be fine though. but 2 of them are just too much. even if temps were 10'c lower. it would still raise the temps inside the case.

If I was talking out of my ass, I'd be hesistant to reply. But since I have a 6950 with a TRad 2 with undervolted 92mm fans that I can't hear, that runs cooler than AMD's nasty blower, I can't help but refute more of the usual love for noisy exhausting cards. Particularly since I have absolutely no problems with case temps or other component temps, thanks to also using a Coolermaster CM690 with undervolted 120mm fans that I also can't really hear.

Although I am sure if one is running 2 of these 200W cards that things would get a bit more complex. I'd still try to figure out a way to live without those AMD blowers though because I hate the noise they make when gaming and I don't like the raspy noise they make even at idle.

Someone like ME perhaps :p

Unfortunately my hands are tied due to XFX's new warranty policies. Removing the cooler off the card voids warranty, Even if its just for cleaning or applying new thermal paste.

I even heard a guy complaining about not being able to clean the dust from his card properly unless he was able to remove the cooler. Support just told him to RMA the card lmao. I understand that partners want to protect the cards from accidental damage from being misused and what not to save having to deal with RMA's, but having to RMA the card because the cooler is packed with dust and needs cleaning is stupid.

lots of partners have also adopted the same stance against enthusiasts who like to mod the cards with 3rd party coolers.

Theres only 3 partners that DONT enforce it and one of them doesnt even do ATi cards.

Asus, MSI and EVGA are the last of the 3 that didnt take stances against users/owners/customers modding their cards.

GPU or ASIC device (VGA) is sensitive to thermal (heat) issue. The heat sink or fan is designed to meet the requirements for reliability of the product and the warranty is rendered invalid if the product is dismantled or the heat sink or cooler fan are removed as this may causes damage to the GPU or ASIC device . Non-compliance will cause the warranty of the product to be void and repair will be at the users cost.

and warranty is important....so im f**ked either way.

Always been a fan of their cards. Had the 3870 IceQ Turbo and loved it. Very fast at the time, very cool and quiet and oc'd nicely.
