It is when you consider the compatibility of generic ram and this ram's intended market. When's the last time you had to do the single stick shuffle with some generic, strictly JEDEC spec ram?

hell if i build a HTPC or any customer a basic machine ill gladly use this ram for $10 for 2gigs or $20 for 4gigs its a no brainer lol
