Steam Currupted

I started my computer up today and a window came up about steam and it says

"Steam.exe(main exception:CMultiFieldBlob(pserialized)

artial field header at end of record"

Thats what it says in a Error window.

Have you tried searching through steam support's information on that error? Check it out, they usually list a fix as well.

Okay i figured it out, i had to delete a weird registery file in my steam folder

That file is notorious for needing to be deleted. Nearly everyone will have to do it at some point. Or at least, that's how it used to be. I haven't had to do it for many years.

It's gotten better lately, in the early days of Steam you would have to delete it once a week. It's gotten to the point where whenever Steam is acting funny, I just start by deleting that to see if it magically fixes the problem. 95% of the time it in fact does.

I've been running Steam since 2005 both on my PC and laptop and never once I have ran into that problem myself. But I see it all the time with other people, Strange that.
