As the title says, I can't get to fit the Hyper 212+ into my case, more specifically, I can't close the side door. The copper pieces at the top are blocking the way for the door to close. While installing the cooler I had lots of questions none of the videos I saw really answered. For instance, what does the screw in the middle of the retention plate do? I know it matches the hole top of the heat spreader, but what do I have to do with it? And what about the foam included? It'd be really helpful if you led me to a full guide on the heatsink, I couldn't thank that enough. Thanks to any replies you post.

I had the same problem, i bought 2 to repair my PS3:shadedshu but ended using only 1 so i used the other in my PC and BAAM!!!:( the side door of my Cosmos S touched the top of the cooler, so i removed the 200mm side fan.

The middle screw (the one with the spring right?) keep the cooler in position and applies all the force in the middle of the heatsink base. What foam are we talking about?

the foam is for using the brackets and adding a second fan to the other side of the cooler. I just bought a 212 also and having same issue wont fit in my case with side door closed.. So i am currently trying to decide on a different cooler or just goto liquid cooling.

It's a big cooler, You should always make sure to measure your case to see if a heatsink should work. My recommendation is get a wider case. I had no problem fitting it in a CM 690 or a in a Cooler master 534+.

I had no problems fitting my CM Hyper 212 EVO in my Rosewill Challenger-U3 or an older Hyper 212+ in my parents' Rosewill Destroyer case. Both fit with little room to spare.
