i2600k @4.4ghz and CM hyper 212 evo with 2 noctua fans

Are these temps "normal"?

Ambient temp is ~20C.
Cores are idling 33-35C.
After playing a few hours of BC2 and BF3, the highest temps (according to HWmonitor) on the cores seem to be 58-60C.

+1 to that! On my 2600K I'm plus 10-15 degrees with voltage of 1.356V (for 4.5ghz), and the numbers I am speaking of are on much better coolers!(25C ambient temp)

No changes to the voltage, I think. All the settings in the bios relating to voltage are default/auto. I'll double check later.

You could actually try going lower on the volts if you want slightly better temp, I've undervolted my T7200 in the past, worked well. Be sure to check for stability though if you're doing this.

You can definitely go lower. That's almost too much for an air cooled SB chip. Try 1.35v

I have a similar question
I am using 2500k and same cooler. I OC it to 4.4Ghz
The CPU core temp. at idle is around 39-41c and top temp. after full loading is 70c.
It's almost 10c higher...
Is it still in the normal / safe range?
