I-O Data's monitor offering will soon be expanded through the release of the LCD-MF274XVBR, a 27-inch widescreen featuring LED backlighting and a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel offering 178/178 degree viewing angles.

The new monitor also has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 300 cd/m2 maximum brightness, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio (80,000:1 DCR), a 12 ms response time (7 ms when overdrive is activated), two 1.5 W built-in speakers, Renesas' Neo Clear Resolution single-frame ultra-high-resolution technology, D-Sub, DVI, dual HDMI ports, an ECO mode, and a stand allowing for height, tilt and swivel adjustment.

The LCD-MF274XVBR is backed by a three-year warranty and will go on sale at the end of this month at about $442.

Nice looking VA Panel,, maybe someday companies will have a higher MAX res with 1920x1080 being Recommended

At least I don't post the same pathetic comments over and over and over again. ;) :shadedshu

What is pathetic about commenting on how it seems that monitor wise we are in some technological dark age and showing once discontent with it?
Honestly responding positively on these kind of "new" monitors blows my mind.

Lookup the catleap monitors on ebay. There is also a thread with buyers discussing their experience with them.

12 ms response time

FYI my 26-inch IPS monitor from 2005 has a 12 ms response time and it's A-OK. So I'm not really familiar with I-O Data products, but it's something I'd consider.

I saw that Viewsonic has a new 27-inch AMVA monitor with a 25 ms response time. That, I would pass on! But I always look for the 178º viewing angles since they don't make these that much anymore in a size that would go on a desktop.
