How do I change video cards?

I want to change my nVidia videocard and put my ATI. What do I have to do?

The first thing you do is;

1. Remove current Nvidia drivers and download the current Ati drivers but do not install them yet.
2. Turn off your computer and unplug it
3. Proceed to remove your current Nvidia card out of your computer.
4. Then continue to put in the new Ati card in making sure it is completely seated in the slot.
5. Plug your computer back in and turn it on.
6. Proceed to install the latest ATi catalyst display drivers and your done.

That should do it.

Make sure you ground yourself and turn power off, so u dont get electrocuted/fry the card

i usually turn the switch off on the psu,and leave the plug in,so its still earthed.

Yeah thats what i meant ;), and also touch metal before touching the VC (if you have no anti-static wristband on)

i usually turn the switch off on the psu,and leave the plug in,so its still earthed.
This is the way I do it also, but some PSU don't have a switch.

yeh i switch it off at the back otherwise just unplug it
