I really like this design, it's stylish and it would fit nicely on a dark themed rig, other than that it has an awesomesauce 4GB vram buffer which I imagine it will cope nicely with 3 monitors or high res single panels :)

Hmm, the 2GB version of this, with the same cooler, has higher clocks (1084/1150/3150 vs 1006/1058/3004)... curious as to why, surely with the same cooler the same clocks should be doable.

Why do you need a backplate? (seriously asking...)

It's all about timing... Memory chips have changed so the timing is a bit more loose.

Hardly surprising...Palit Microsystems is Gainward's parent company- rebadging isn't exactly a new phenomena...

I know... that's why i brought it to attention.
"Gainward = Palit" would have been less labour intensive. Gainward's Golden Sample and Palit's Sonic/Sonic Platinum's identical clocks and layout for the last few generations should be a dead giveaway for most I would think...although a surprising number of people don't seem to have heard of either nameplate- must be a geographic sales distribution thing.
(btw sup with the ad?)
The hazards of grabbing the first URL in a quicky image search. Now fixed...hopefully.

IMO this card is really ugly... I don't like the aesthetics at all, especially compared to the jetstream card.

When you go to the trouble of having an awesome looking cooler like that, you might as well make the most visible side look sweet as well :D

Referring to a video card as a 'Dark Chilled Demon?'

Unless I woke up in Hell this morning...this makes no sense. Although, a quick perusal at the latest video game titles and it starts to become clear.

Run for your lives.

I prefer the one using the exhaust cooler blower type. Uses the same pcb as well.
