Just broke work laptop screen... want to delete history/save pw

Just broke by work laptops screen.
I want to delete my browser history and save passwords but I cannot use the screen at all or the VGA out put. Can this be done from deleting files on the hard drive?

No not porn history... Save passwords and logins to sites I would rather not give random IT guys access to... facebook, my payroll, etc...

Any one have an idea?

VGA port / projector output is not working, stopped working about a month ago.

I would have to agree with Erocker, unless you have remote desktop enabled or some other method to login to windows, you will need some form of display. Are you sure the VGA doesn't work and maybe you just have to switch it once windows actually boots? I knew a couple people with Dells where it worked like that, it was on a function key, fn + some key maybe?

If you know what OS it is running, you should be able to login blindly. Are you not using RDP that came with Windows because that doesn't need the user to be initially logged in.

there is HDMI and VGA, neither of which are outputting any video. I ran into this a while ago and determined it was an issue with either the video card or the driver.

If remote access is enabled on the machine and if your user account has remote access rights... I'm assuming, as it is a company computer, that it is a member of some domain.

I'm assuming the local Systems Administrator has a plan for these kinds of things, have you asked him or her? (I know I have a plan for all of the laptops and servers that I manage.)

Connect the laptop to your network. If you have the hostname of the laptop this will be ALOT easier.

First: Connect the laptop to the network and then power on.
Second: Connect additional laptop/desktop to the network and power on
Third: On the additional PC, Click start then run then input mstsc.exe then press enter
Fourth: This will bring up RDP, Now type in the host name of the PC with broken screen and click connect.

If RDP is enabled on the broken machine, you should be able to log in using you're own login credentials.

got access finally...

I just removed the screen from the laptop and it changed the video to the vga out port.
All good now.
