6950 Price Drop?

Do you guys know if AMD is going to drop the prices for the 6000 series anytime soon?

The 7000 series is out, but I have not noticed any price drop since it's release...

I thing they will become unavailable sooner then they will get cheaper. Right now in Poland HD6950 are available only in second hand market.

Nope. Most people that might want will look, see it not available, and buy something else. The whole new 7-series is out now, lots of alternatives to 6950, that consume less power, and perform way better for the same dollar.

However, like you, I want to buy a couple more, maybe. I really would like to get 2 more reference cards, best place is the used market.

I don't agree, my 2x6950 still beat a 7950 or even the 7970 in most benchmarks...

They might consume power, but I don't mind... The only down side being having to deal with drivers since it's CF... But yeah, I looked @benchmarks and for instance, in metro 2033, the 6950 CF beats the 7950 by a good 20 fps

The reason I asked is because I need 2x 6950 to get the performance I want... I had 2x... but I sold one off a few weeks ago to finance a chord book I've been printing...

Now I'm left with 1 6950 2gb... and I feel it'd be wiser for me to sit on 2x 6950 and wait for next gen of cards... The ONLY card that tempts me at the moment, and that card is still beat by 2x 6950 in CF, the Nvidia gtx 680... BECAUSE of it's adaptive V-sync, VERY interesting feature

some already have, I picked up my 2nd 6950 from local store for $189+tax compared to my first card purchased 2 weeks after release at $315 lol

arent they already paid for when the stores order stock? same for games

also, do we know if the card is even being manufactured anymore? probably all of them could have been sent out
