Today Logitech introduced the latest addition to its popular G-Series gaming lineup: the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, a highly customizable and easy-to-use mouse specifically designed for massively multiplayer online (MMO) gamers. The mouse features 20 buttons - including 12 thumb buttons, set in two groups of six on a meticulously designed thumb panel - all in easy reach for quick and easy no-look navigation and faster game play.

With three default profiles - two for MMOs and one for general gaming - it is set up for optimal use right out of the box, no drivers required. In addition, it has a G-Shift function that easily doubles the number of actions you can perform with any button, giving you complete control in your favorite MMOs. As with all of our G-Series products, the keys are programmable so you can create your own commands, store them in the mouse's onboard memory, and access them all with one touch. Plus, its sculpted shape comfortably supports your hand through long gaming sessions.

"The Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse is the result of intense, direct testing with experienced MMO gamers," said Mark Starrett, senior global product manager for Logitech. "Countless hours of research went into the design of our thumb panel to make sure that it is as comfortable and easy to use as possible. And people will feel the difference in the buttons - they're sculpted to help reduce click fatigue and miss-clicks so you can play with greater precision for as long as you want."

For additional personalization, the thumb panel's RGB illumination is fully customizable with more than 16 million possible color combinations that you can use to easily identify the active on-board profile. The lighting can be set to glow continuously, pulse on and off, continuously cycle, or dim after a user-determined period of inactivity.

"This Logitech mouse is one of the best out there - and not just because they incorporated our feedback into the design," said Hal Hanlin, Rift producer. "There are so many abilities to keep track of in Rift, the difference between defeating a zone event or winding up at the graveyard can come down to seconds. Having all those G-Keys at your fingertips gives you an advantage."

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in July 2012, for a suggested retail price of $79.99.

Does it mater?

I like the way they sculpted the buttons.

Not really. But Logitech ripped the idea off another company instead of coming up with something more original

What idea? I assume you are referring to the 12 buttons near the thumb... where else are they supposed to put 12 buttons in one spot?

i have the g700, and find its four thumb buttons too much at times. Yes, i use three of them - but its hard to keep track of what they do once you start assigning them in games.

this really is a naga ripoff, no doubts about that.

But in saying that, I am suprised that Razer hasn't patented the keypad / mouse combo. There is no denying its basically a Razer Naga :p

I'm just happy no one had a patent for "button on mouse for use with thumb."
I myself don't call it out when a company uses another's idea. Thats the way products improve.
5 years from now when people say it was logitech that "invented" it, thats when people should say "Actually it was Razer".

Mini rant over.

Games are becoming more specialized now to not need as many buttons. See: League of legends, Diablo 3, Guildwars 2. I guess if you're playing everquest 2 with 50 hotkeys this might be alright, though.

Puts a massive numpad on the left side so you cant hold the mouse properly..

Someone please remind me why anyone needs more than 60 keybinds?, which you can get with just 2 side buttons

I was about to say, "it's a shame they made it look so much like the Naga", but that white one looks gorgeous.

I wish Logitech could make an Gaming oriented Trackball, one like the M570 could easily allow much more buttons without feeling cramped like that.

Oh, I didn't see the white one!
Also on logitech website there are more photos and seems a very comfortable mouse.

Twenty million clics per button. That's double than the "standard" 10 million clics. Weights 20 less grams than my wireless mouse (MX600) with two AA batteries included.
It's DPI goes from 200 to 8200. That sounds like a new sensor to me. The software is Logitech Gaming software, not the standard setpoint.

What quirks will this mouse have? Lift-off distance? Size? ...

I just wish they made a new version of the G13 with a little less wide-spread key pattern. I LOVE my G13, it's what helps me melt so many faces in BF3.

nice button on the side, the hardest with my naga was getting used to where each number was , (ad to use training 3m plastic sticker)

this layout seem's easier to get used to.

also i don't only play mmorpg , i play FPS game and i love having 12 extra button :p i might try this mouse , since naga left click problem with their mouse kill them under a year
