1-3% difference maybe. Anandtech has some benchmarks on that.
And I _AM_ an AGP basher myself although I have AGP.

And I'll laugh at YOU when you're trying to find good AGP boards for C2D.


If it's such a small difference why move on to PCI-E at all (apart from the companies making more money)?

Top End G80 and R600's will need the extra bandwidth of PCIe x16, but up til now I don't think any DX9 cards have even used what PCIe x8 offers. And that's the same as AGP.
