it is a 100% waste of money if you think to use it for graphics.
620gt is a Class 3 referred to this website http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-620M.72198.0.html
For that money i wouldnt even try to buy anything a bit stronger.
If you want to use programs which need graphics, choose a laptop, but not slim,
otherwise the price will be very high and no power at all

+1

I have a slim laptop with a 6850, and my computer overheats if I dont limit the frames with V-sync.

This is the absolute worst case scenario for graphics.

Here is some benchmarks for the HD4000 with different I cpus.

I think it is actually pretty good:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000-Benchmarked.73567.0.html

Anno gets less than 10 FPS at the laptops native resolution.
Elder Scrolls, below its native resolution and at the lowest settings gets just under 40 FPS.

Dont forget that these figures come from a much more advanced processor, he will be getting less than those figures.

These may be good benchmarks in comparison to previous Intel graphics, but you should never get Intel HD expecting gaming, and I would expect more for the price.

My laptop was $1000, has an HD 6850, an I7 2670k, fully 3D with Blu-ray, wireless video, and hotspot capability, among other things.
