I've been using this 1GB HIS 5870 for a while, and I've been wanting a faster card with lower power consumption. I'm waiting for a midrange card for either Nvidia or AMD that can do this, and as of yet neither has done what I wanted to see. I figure I'm in for a long wait, and so...
I'm looking to hopefully do a straight trade for a 7770 GHZ edition. Yes, I realize this is less speed, however it's much more power efficient. I figure I'll ride on the 7770 until something comes out with performance that absolutely blows it away at the same or less power consumption.
This 5870 has only been lightly overclocked (never above the CCC limits actually, never used anything else), but run at stock for most of its life. The temps stay low, however the fan does seem to rattle a bit at mid speeds. Might just need a bit of oil or something.
