Thermalright's gaming peripherals brand, Leetgion is running what it calls "Santa Hit and Run Sale" (don't ask why), with participating online retailers in most big markets shaving 10 percent off its US $90 price tag. The offer runs from 10/12/2012 to 24/12/2012. Backing its still-high $81 price are a super-cool combination of Omron and Cherry MX mechanical switches that earn it the title of being the first "mechanical switch mouse," Avago 9500 laser sensor with 5,000 dpi resolution, an ambidextrous design, and 16.8 million color lighting.

A list of participating retailers follows.

Avago 9500 is an OLD sensor, it`s from 2009.
gamers know these things, they can`t be fooled like this and i hope the sells will make Thermalright understand it

It's not a bad sensor, it's pretty good, unless you have a textile pad I think.

they should not sell it in a 2012 mouse, even cars get new engines with every new model
why didn`t they just put the newer Avago 9800 laser, most 2012 mices that cost 80$ OR LESS have it

CM Storm Sentinel Advance II
Logitech G600
Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M
Roccat Kone XTD
Asus GX950
Gigabyte Aivia Krypton
etc

I'm sorry sense when did mice use optical or rubber switches, microswitches are as mechanical as can be, shoving a switch for your thumb that is made for a keyboard is just silly a pointless marketing fluff. What next gonna use the keyboard switches in a stick for fighting games because micro-switches aren't enough. Anyways all i see here is a mouse with only a back button not a back and forward button.

Well, at least they're completely honest with what goes into the mouse.

IF the buttons work the same way as a mechanical keyboard i probably get one.. Then again by looking at the picture it's just side buttons so that's a fail.

I have gone though 6 gaming mice under 6 years which everyone failed for the same reason. Were the plastic meets the micro switch wears out and results in a double click issue.

I wouldn't say it's a fail just because it's only in the side button. More like a less of a win

I think I've seen a user mod a actual keyboard key(with the letter still on it!) onto their mice.

Also, based on personal experience and info I get on the web, the micro switch is usually the biggest culprit when it comes to double clicking.
