Got new keyboard... how bad is it?

Yep, I think I will like this keyboard. And yes, I have now done the research on all the Cherry Mx switches. I don't do a lot of typing, and I like a responsive, but not loud keyboard, that I can feel or hear the keystrokes. I watched an unboxing of this exact

Yep, these are the switches I remember from the 80s. I always loved these switches. Can type 100 wmp or faster on them, don't know why people complain about typing on them. The detachable pads are excellent for gaming. The huge amount of macro keys you can assign is impressive. For 100can, 80us, not a bad buy. If you have weak fingers or something, then you might not like the throw of these keys. I love it.

This keyboard is awesum, sorry. Every switch on it, including the detachable keypad, are mech. 5 macro switches at the far left, which can do 2 macros each for 10 total. The d-pad bar that you can add above the f-keys for 6 more macros. The rotary volume control, dam sexy actually. It's simple, and complex at the same time. I detached the numpad and have it sitting above my keyboard and mouse now. Looks like a tank cockpit.
It has unlimited profile creation. You can also set every key on the keyboard to any setting you want. Again, unlimited profiles.

idk, I went from chicklet and rubber domes to trying out MX blue that I didn't like to MX blacks, then tried MX red... I can tell you the blacks are WORLDS better for me then blur or red or the cheap rubber domes or laptop keyboards

Your keyboard sounds like a good buy, I wonder if it is built like a tank like mine or not though

Blacks really are the best. Love my kb. I'd recommend reds to most to start, unless you have the b*lls to go black! The keys are sweet, anti-ghosting built in... not a loud clicking when you type, but a nice satisfying low level click....
Edit: and yes, tankville. Must weigh 20 pounds...
Edit2: and with numpad removed, still longer than a normal keyboard
Edit3: pics tomorrow, just tanked for several hours in WoT. Keyboard also great for that!

Sounds like a great keyboard but after a short search i am seeing people starting to see the letters wearing off..

Yeah, I am worried about the labels. Should of been laser etched. But I never look at the keys, I'm a touch typist, so doesn't matter I guess.
And I prefer some sound feedback from the keys. And the blacks are actually fairly quiet for mech keys. They are not "clicky" type keys.

Yes, don't have it in a purdy area right now...

Edit: to use numpad seperate, requires 3 usb ports. The keyboard needs 2 ports for itself.

Yeah, and if you want the keypad separate, it takes 3 usb ports. Also, if you have a power hungry mouse, like I do, you will have to separate the hubs. On newer mobos, shouldn't be a problem, but on my old x58, was a pain.
