Like the title says i think i ordered a wrong gpu. I got an older sapphire 7870 OC edition wich is running on the pitcairn architecture and im looking for another card to crossfire. Yesterday i ordered this card "sapphire 7870 XT Boost" but after alot of reading i read that this card is using the tahiti le architecture wich wont pair with my older card. So is this true? The store told me to just try the card couse i should be able to pair my card with any 7870. I think the store is wrong and i shouldnt open the package and just send it back. I hope someone can confirm this.
So i guess i need to look for a differend card. I can either get my money back and order a sapphire 7870 flex somewhere else wich is using pitcairn and also looks pretty identical to my older gpu or get this card http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1700&psn=&lid=1&leg=0 but im not sure if it uses the pitcairn architecture. The fan shroud is differend but the store got these in stock so it might be easier/faster to swap it with that card. Like i said ive been reading alot and i cant find out what architecture the card uses. The only thing i can find on the sapphire site is this :

So what is GCN? Is it both pitcairn and tahiti le? If someone can tell me what architecture it uses i would be very greatfull. Tia!
