Guys and Dolls (=1)

I thought I would try to collect ideas or your thoughts on creating an award similar to a Member of the Month Award. Where the community votes on a member that has provided or shown over the course of a month, that they have contributed to the community as a whole across a range of good deeds. This thought came to mind after I saw joinmeindeath417 apologize after flaming and I thought that showed some character and couth on his part. This isn't the first time I've seen this but I think overall it would be nice to try to reward those members who do go above and beyond to make this community a better one. So as a community we could come up with an Avatar for "Urlyins Couth Award" or named something other than Member of Month for them to display for a month, ideas and Avatars are welcomed.

So get your Photoshop fired up guys and suggestions ... :toast:

That might be a good one for someone that knows a great deal of everything and is very helpful with his knowledge.

What about some "special stars" for the member of the month. To replace the regular ones.

I like "a right good feller" placed somewhere, but the special stars should work good too.

Maybe combined them :D

There's a thought ... :)

Maybe like a star with a Date on it, and you keep that star for the rest of your usership, and if you get MOTM again, you get another star next to it.

Get rid of awards. They're completely subjective, waste time and forum space and encourage brown-nosing. It's not TPU culture.

Get rid of what awards? This would basically be the first and who would they brown nose? It would be the community that would vote. So having just joined TPU in Feb, I doubt you can truly comment on what the culture is or understand that is constantly changing... it is only an attempt to spark members to be more conscience in what they post...

oooh Urlyin. That's a bit cheap: "you only just joined therefore your opinion has no merit".
