Hey all, just a quick question. Would the: Gigabyte Radeon HD7970 Overclocked 3GB, be compatible with the Watercooling block: Heatkiller GPU-X3 79X0 Water Block?
Cheers. :toast:

So which Graphics card should I look for, that is easily available in Australia, price range between $350-$450. And is compatible? Not sure if this would be an easy question or not.

If you plan to watercool it you should just buy a reference GHz edition with a reference cooler.

It should be easier to find a waterblock for it.

I went through and selected the card I want, it said that it was using a AMD Reference PCB Design, but when I look through the list of waterblocks the compatibilities all say visual? Does that mean they aren't compatible when it comes to functionability? Also another graphics card im looking at getting would be the MSI Radeon HD 7970 oc 3gb : http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=10323

no that means that they never actually tried it but the PCB is very close to or is reference and as such should fit. They say visual only so that if the manufacturer change something they didn't notice they don't take any blame but if you take a look at the cards they did test and the cards they say are visually compatible they are basically identical so they should work 99.999999999% of the time.

Thanks, do you know any other cards that would be reference cards, in Australia, around the same functionality of the cards I mentioned before hand? Once I found out the card I wanted was a reference, trying to find one to buy online has been a really tiring task, I have searched tons of websites and can't find the card anywhere anymore. Thanks!

Also, can you buy Graphics cards with a waterblock pre-installed?

yup, powercolor LCS series for instance :toast:

Thanks :) Would you happen to have a link to an online store that I could buy one from? I looked around for a HD7970 series one and although the site recommends sites to buy them from, I can't find any on those sites :(
