OK. Just happened.
I wanted to restart my system. Had to install the new version of IDM so just felt like restarting and doing the uninstall-install. Don't ask why. Blame OCD. Plus PC was on for many days.
So, I did:
1: Check avast for new definitions. Non were available. Fully updated.
2: Used Windows update. Non available. Fully updated.
3: Used Intel SSD Toolbox. Ran SSD optimizer.
Restarted my PC and a flash of blue screen. PC restarted and I entered Safe Mode to check WTH happened.
Dump was created and I cleaned it. Uninstalled Nvidia driver. Using WHQL, BTW. I uninstall Nvidia drivers because (OCD) there is a huge chance of them going corrupt in the case of an unsafe shutdown. Experience. So I do a clean install if any unsafe shutdown occurs. Like this.
Plus, scheduled disk check on both disks (C: SSD, D: HDD), which I always do in case of unsafe shutdown. OCD of course.
Disk check ran, and before Windows could log on, BSOD!.
Restarted and this time I entered 'Safe Mode with Networking' door, so I could at least get some help here.
Please begin.
What have I done until now?. All under Safe Mode with Networking:
1: Ran 'Quick Diagnostic Scan' in Intel SSD Toolbox. Everything completed successfully. Disk health and ERL 100% too.
2: Uninstalled IDM.
3: Ran 'Full Diagnostic Scan' in Intel SSD Toolbox. Everything 100% OK.
4: Turned Auto Restart off in 'Startup and Recovery' options to see the BSOD.
5: Increased page file from 2000mB initial, 2048mB Max to Recommended 12258mB Initial and Max.
