We previously evaluated the Antec HCG-750M, and it left us with a good impression. We will now review its bigger brother, the HCG-850M. Sharing the same features with the aforementioned unit and having been made by the same OEM, Seasonic, we have pretty high expectations, too.

Thanks man. I will have this power supply very soon and kinda nervous about the whole noise thing. I really hope it won't be a big issue.

at normal ambient and with typical loads you won't have any issues. Most likely the noise of the rest system fans (if you have any) will cover the PSU's fan noise.

I like that they give you the option to turn off the LEDs. I know some people think the more the merrier. I am of the mindset that any number of LEDs over 0 is too many. When I build my own machines I don't even hook up the case power LED or HDD activity LED.
