How is it that all the owners of intel kit are not up in arms that they were pushed unnecessarily into a new socketed mobo and had to buy a dear version to oc yet now most board makers have a bios hack to oc on lower priced boards id be up in arms as its blatant piss takeing as is the socket a year plan wtf.
All chips are mounted on an interposer (multi layered pcb) so imho some of those sockets are only for the money rapeing and not due to changes.
