The difference is they offer a choice. You want an aesthetic upgrade? Buy the aluminum bridge. Want the standard no frills version? Get the standard black ribbon.

There is no claim to performance increases. They acknowledge its for looks, it's very similar to buying a backplate.

Yeah we're on an PC enthusiast forum where we buy shiny cases/cable sleeving/leds etc. and people complain to this kind of things?

I for one say it's a good thing EVGA got this thing out, it's good to have a choice.

My only gripe is that this thing (as I already said previously) is just hideous compared to what Nvidia showcased with the Titan 3x on February.
