win 7 error

Im getting this error .. and it starting to get annoying , happens sometimes but getting more frequent :s

And also action center says my "avira" is off when its indeed on .. I did some regedit edits as suggested by some google search and its still same . Computer is virus clean brand new install

If you are confident that your system is absolutely virus free, I think you should check the HDD and RAM.

Its not hdd its actually on an ssd . And i did some bechmarks recently and its very consistent. even did chdsk . And also the desktop is new so is the ram. I would not know if i should run memtest, but upon using sfc /scannow it did say there was some corrupted files , but i have no idea how /what to fix.

Maybe some other software/malware is causing the problem? Check. And I suggest do a clean install from a good installation media(don't know if you have genuine Windows or not).

Try running Check disk with the F parameter (chkdsk /f). Also, be sure to run command prompt with administrative rights when you run "sfc /scannow" or it will not run correctly. Search for "cmd.exe" and then right click on it and run "as administrator". Once the command prompt starts run "sfc /scannow". :toast:

How many sticks do you have? Try it with one at a time, no need to replace them all.

everything at stock, since i recently moved to x79 and its the uefi bios .. i have decided not to overclock since im not familiar with uefi , i prefer the old bios type

anyhow.. so far i have gotten 6 errors in memtest after running about 2 hours i decided to call it quits. Test was with all dims inside , however i contacted the retailer and asked if they could do immediate replacement as i am hoping for.. they will let me know if not i will just test the ram individually which would probably take hours -.-"
