You could also rightfully use the same video with the quote,

In all seriousness, it's a brilliant piece of engineering and the price for it is absolutely fantastic. If you already have a loop, then this is a dead cert. But to build a loop for it alone, well, that's adding a couple hundred bucks on top for that heat dissipation.

But I assure you Mr Xzibit, as a Titan owner I am not crying, I am smiling because AMD have the means to make Nvidia rethink their strategy and that for all of us is a pretty good thing.
Also, it was mostly enthusiasts that bought Titans, not green eyed zealots. With that in mind, Titan owners might well end up grabbing these too. We have the cash, we buy wtf we want

They are praising it for the price. Not to mention it will force nvidia to respond with something that will benefit all of us in the market for a card currently. I for one wouldnt touch this card till i had access to a waterblock right away.

What's wrong with the drivers? They've introduced PCI-E lane crossfire capability to get by frame pacing issues. The single gpu driver performance has never been an issue. You're stuck in the past, get over it.

Nothing wrong with AMD drivers, as much as there's nothing wrong with Nvidia drivers.

Let me tell you fair price or not if one of them would release a eyefinity/surround driver that allowed 2+ monitors, rotated in any configuration (per display) they would have me. (Are you listening graphics overlords? I want you to take my money, just build it already!)

Everyone is freaking out this thing is 2dBa higher noise than the Titan under load... If you enable Uber Mode, which has a slight increase in performance, and which would obviously generates more heat, the card jumps 10dBa... People's expectations are both unrealistic and on the verge of Nvidia fanboy. If you got a problem with noise or cooling, that's exactly why they make aftermarket coolers.

You realize that 512-bit memory bus has almost NOTHING to do with the compute performance of the R9 290X yes? The R9 290X doesn't have anywhere near the double precision performance that the Titan has.

Idle noise levels are decent, almost quiet. You can barely hear the card when it is installed in a case.

Load noise: 40dBa vs. 38dBa

2dB, like Ravenas linked. +/- 1dB, Quiet Mode... as showed by a billion reviews I've already looked through (they can't all lie, can they?). And in Uber mode, it's pretty loud, but still, under HD 7970GHz stock cooler levels.

But I get it thought, some people just can't be objective, and even much less so, happy that we're finally getting another great round of high-end GPU/price wars. And that's just sad.

I appreciate your loyalty to TPU and they are fantastic reviews, but there are at least 2 others I can think of that do darn good job too. Guru3D and techreport. Reading one review is just narrow.

At the end of the day, I will be getting this monster...My 780 hydro copper don't know whether to sell it or give my wife or move it to my htpc. I game at 1440p so this card is pretty much what I was expecting, I don't care bout the power usage my electric bill dont pass 65 if i don't go mad using the ac. I will be throwing this under water, just wish there was a model like the komodo from swiftech available.

it seems that some people here don't understand the concept of decibels, its not a linear ratio. a decibel difference of 10 means 10 folds difference, a decibel of 2 is 2 times louder.

When you put the 290x in uber mode, its 12dba louder, hitting 50. And in "quiet" mode its still louder than Titan.
