The NOMAD 17 gaming laptop is MAINGEAR's first AMD based laptop that supports AMD A10-5750 processor that offers quad-core multitasking and AMD Radeon HD 8970M 2 GB GDDR5 offers incredible graphics where games can utilize the incredible multiscreen functionality of AMD Eyefinity technology running at max resolutions of 5760x1080.

It looks decent if I needed a desktop replacement. That's no laptop in my book, though.

I wonder how well it drives that.

For gaming, this laptop would be easier to lug around than a tower and a display and at higher resolutions you really start needing more GPU power than CPU power, so it may not really be that bad. Is it perfect? probably not... but it's decent for the price. So I would think that it's a decent laptop for what it's designed to do. The only problem is that it's geared towards a particular niché. It's really important to say that this is a desktop replacement, not a laptop. It's something that is "easier to lug around than a tower and a display" and a relatively affordable price for what it can do.

This in no way means that I would like this laptop, but that's only because I don't game as much anymore and my tower that sits at home is perfectly adequate. For someone who is obsessed with their games, it's an alternative.
