I'm actually running PB and its up to date. I'm able to play single-player the whole way through, it's just multiplayer. Very frustrating
And then when I log into Origin, it automatically starts the download for China Rising, is stuck at 0% and then always fails. I already have Premium, wtf? Could this be a reason why I can't join servers for more than 15 seconds?

Have your tried "Repairing" (right-click BF4, Repair Install) your BF4 installation? It fixed an issue I was having with SP, but it might help you with your MP issue.

Sound loop crashed on Dawnbreaker again last night. Still possibly something on my end though such as slightly unstable OC. Also that map and Shanghai are the worst. Apparently still.

I had the same screens Happita (China installing... nothing), but after seconds it went away and I could play. (Because I already installed it before yesterday!)
Am I the only guy with zero real problems with BF4? It just works! (nVidia and Intel slave here
Ah, and using Windows 8.1 Firewall, no fuzzing around with fw settings.

I do not want to presume anything, but some people must have heavily "tweaked" computers and are firing heavy arrows in any software's knees....

I was telling Dave last week I believe most crashes are due to a couple of things.

1. Memory leak. Which might have been addressed in the last patch.
2. BF syncing with Battlelog and Origin.

For NVIDIA people, try uninstalling the video card audio drivers.

Game has been a serious joke for the last few days. It's easy to tell when players are using wall hacks. Plus, spawn shot, spawn shot, spawn shot, etc. Spawn, hide in a room, player comes by minute or so later and throws grenade into the room - was not even tagged yet.

i5,560Ti and W8.1 here crashes crashes crashes. I've put my CPU on stock even. This config worked flawlessly through BF3 if I count out some driver issues after game release.

I don't have many crashes, but there are ton of you out there that have paid good money to play a game some over $100 and still dealing with one issue on top of another. Yeah BFBC2 and BF3 were buggy too, but nothing compared to this BS. They better dedicate everything to fixing this like they said they are or people are gonna shy away from EA/Dice products.

No, but in that case, they just wont use their other sound chip, so they shouldn't have drivers for it installed. The one BSOD I had with a sound loop from BF4 was due to having multiple sound drivers installed. Uninstalled the Nvidia one and kept using my Heros onboard sound and problem solved. I usually never install the Nvidia sound, but now one part of it is required if you install Geforce Experience for the virtualization sound environment for streaming with the Shield thing.

+1 To this. People always think they "know better" and do all these "innocent" tweaks to their system and then blame the game for not being stable. I'm not saying BF4 is a powerhouse of stability but its no where near as bad as people claim. I think 90% of people complaining is from user error by 1337 comp00ter hax0rz. BF has always been a solid test for stability. If your bombing LOTS then chances are your system isn't stable.

I get maybe 1 or 2 crashes a night if I game over 3 hours. Not really bad but wished it was ZERO. On another hand I have not played in over a week.

That's called "PR". Doesn't matter if all the crashing is legit or not. The negativity cloud of the internet will give the game a reputation whether it deserves it or not. So EA says they are "fixing" everything? Is that like Microsoft adding the start button back so when you click it, you go back to the metro screen? I mean they "listened" to the community as much as EA will.

If you are crashing CONSTANTLY then its YOUR rig. Not the game.

Exactly . I installed a new ssd right prior to installing the game. New install no overclocking and and had a few bugs too. The audio bug has always been there on 2 maps. I'll try that uninstall the Nvidia driver and see if that works. Most of us have been here for the last 3 games and there is no denying this has a lot more bugs. They will get them resolved I have no doubt, but there is a lot more frustration being vented on this one. I'll roll with it, but like I said I feel sorry for the guys who have constant issues. I would have already totally refomatted and not OCed a thing by now out of frustration. I had to do that once with BF3 and it worked like a charm. I suggest to any one with multiple bugs since release trying that and a lot of issues will probably disappear. Guess that is kind of like Reayth is saying. Change that dirty diaper !

And it crashes randomly for all my mates so its not the computers causing it. Specially that beta worked flawlessly. Tried the HDMI thing and still the same.

EA/DICE continue to lower the bar for customer satisfaction. Pretty soon people will be happy with just getting to play 15 minutes at a time of a game they paid $60 for. The sad thing is people still shell out for this shit titles!! EA has no pride in their titles they just want cash. They have bastardized the once glorious BF franchise. You people should all be ashamed.
