Looking for a good browser for my smartphone

I've had Skyfire in the past when Galaxy S1 was out since it had some flash support. But now it seems that every browser application requests so many permissions that I don't know which poison to pick. If it's one thing I hate, it's when an app requests uneccessary permissions for it to be installed and used (perfect ex. a calculator app needs network access...wtf).

The only apps I know of are Skyfire, Firefox, and Chrome. Can you guys tell me about your experiences with them? Or you can recommend something completely different. I don't care, as long as I don't have to submit to hundreds of permissions

Opera (non-mini) is pretty solid. I used to use it exclusively on Android. Moved to Chrome which works well although it can be a resource hog. Not sure why I moved from Opera

I use Dolphin and I like it it even has LastPass premium intergration. (prem. last pass needed for mobile devices but I got one). Has a UI like desktop chrome and even has lots of addons you can get for it like screen captures, save to pdf, night mode, etc.

Opera mini here. There's even the older version avaliable now, which I like better than the new one.

Safari and opera mini both of are great browsers for the smartphone. Firefox is also good.

And if you set up Opera Link with your main PC (using Opera of curse) you have all your bookmarks!

I use Opera and like it over mini, but both are really good browsers. You can change from user agent mobile to desktop if you prefer the sites desktop version over there mobile version.

i use Firefox as my main bowser if i want flash i use Dolphin Browser and Dolphin Jetpack under Android 4.4 but it's laggy i hope there will be an update for flash since the one i had for ICS also worked for Jelly Bean but it don't under Kitty Kat with Firefox ._.

I use Maxton browser. Fast enough, light enough and built-in flash support, so you can ahem... watch your movies everywhere. I do find it better than Dolphin.

i will try out that one, bcs when i can't get flash to work in FF with Kitty Kat then why not try to see if i can find something else for it ^^

Baidu offer night mode, incognito and so far it runs well

chrome. use it on desktop, can sync between them including open tabs, bookmarks, passwords, usernames, etc.

very handy that i can log in on a PC anywhere and open a tab i have on my desktop at home, or do the same on my phone/tablets etc.

stable and fast too.

i just think that phone browser get too complicated, too many features that making it getting heavy and slower

I use Opera Mini on my GS2 and it runs flawless, my sister use Firefox on her GS2, sometimes it slows down

Except TPU I did not use my smart phone for surfing the web and Chrome seems fast enough for that. Yes, I have had massive slowdowns but that was when "everybody" was on WiFi in a chockfull train (yes, major train services in the Netherlands have free WiFi. But most train services get cancelled with the slightest bit of snow. I live in an odd country with weird priorities).

BTW, the phone has Android 4.1.1, 512 MiB of RAM and a single-core Cortex A9 (@1000 MHz), so it is certainly not the most powerful phone on the planet. Though, adding Flash to my web experience might show this more than experienced by me until now.

Just got into Android (and cyanogenmod soon after) this year and only cause I was given a older phone someone didn't want anymore (they upgraded). It's an Epic 4g, and has 512ram (but only around 300 is usable cause the OS holds some). All I use it for is wifi internet browsing as it has no phone service anymore. Running CyanogenMod 11 (4.4 android).

Firefox runs alright on it for me, and I'm so used to the addons that I can't live without them.

I would use chrome most of the time but it doesn't have lastpass integration.. So I use dolphin.

Using Firefox and Opera on Android here. Opera is light and Firefox because of extensions.

I use my stock browser with Flash 11.1 hacked on it. Works surprisingly well.
