Hi guys

During the past eight years, ive upgraded everything in terms of computer hardware from cpus, gpus hdds and to ssds but the one thing i have overlooked is my moniter screen, the Dell 2405FPW. Its served me really well since ive had it and heck it still is.

but now im starting to think, with all these new fancy monitors coming out is it time for me to upgrade my monitor? im not too bothered about the 144hz ones that had just come out recently but rather thinking of getting one of these bad boys.

what do u guys think? do you think its worth forking out a couple of hundred for this or just stick to the one i got? will i notice a significant difference in term of quality? i do game (bf4) etc and generally browse/youtube etc.

any input would be appreciated, thanks :)

IMO that would be a downgrade (lower resolution, smaller size at 16:9 ratio).
If I were you I would stick to the Dell you have...or upgrade to a higher resolution 27-inch screen - which does need more GPU power.

I can't comment on eyefinitiy but (probably) it won't be easy to get used to a 23-inch 16:9 monitor coming from a 24-inch 16:10...IMO a 24-inch is minimum, but others with eyefinity should comment on which works good.

i would have got 1920x1200 but hardly any with a super thin bezel like the one i posted earlier.

if you upgrade from 16x10 24inch the next upgrade from that in 16x9 is 32inch. a 27inch 16x9 monitor is actually smaller.

I couldn't use a 16x9 monitor smaller than 32inch, its about as comfortable as playing on my MSI GT70....

imo you want your desktop monitor to feel big in general, not short and wide....lol

but its all subjective, you might prefere it... everyones different... good luck...:toast:
