Adding a second Rad to loop?

Hello all,
I was thinking of adding a second radiator to my loop after reading an article about temps on my exact card (EVGA 680 SC) seems I get much higher load temps than they did ( They got 35-36C load temps, I get 44-45C load temps)

Atm I have Res>Pump>360 Rad (64mm thickness EK)>CPU>GPU

I was thinking if I added a second 240 or so Rad to the loop somewhere ( I have a Corsair Obsidian 900D so plenty of options ) it would lower my GPU temps. CPU temps are 28C idle 64C load (2700K @ 4.6 1.29v) GPU (680 GTX @ 1201Mhz ) is 28-29C idle 44-45C load. Are these clocks and temps fine with the single Rad, or would I see a benefit with a second Rad?

adding one after cpu>gpu>rad
it looks good but do you run the rad with push pull config?
push pull may give you better cooling performance

Hi

If you have £/$ "I have a Corsair Obsidian 900D so plenty of options" run a second H2o loop in the system will give better temps for CPU and GPU

Actually I do run in a push/pull on the rad

Law-II,
Noise is an issue for me, since my Desk is in my dining room next to my living room, so adding a second pump (using the EK-DCP 4.0 Pump), albeit not much more noise, to me is the loudest part in my system ( running 4x NZXT FN-120 Enthusiast Performance Case Fans on the rad which are EXTREMELY quiet compared to the COUGAR 120's I had on there a while back ago)

I really wouldn't bother. I think that rad is more than capable of cooling that system and i think benefits would be minimal. I have a similar 360 rad (alphacool UT60) cooling a 2600k@ 4.7ghz and two overclocked R9 290's which are HOT cards. They usually hit about 40c with them getting a pounding. I don't know what fans you use but i'm using 3x noctua NF-F12 pwm fans and i'm running them at low revs. They only speed up a touch when the cpu hits 50C as that's the way i have it set in the bios. I think maybe a higher pressure fan upgrade would be a better buy and also less hassle than putting another rad in the loop.

My fault! running a 240 rad ( hence the 4x 120m fans on it )

Ah, well then yeah it would help. However maybe consider a bigger single rad and sell the old one? Keep in mind a fat rad like 60mm needs high pressure fans to get the most out of it and run quietly. Also i think your gpu temps are fine as is. Sure you could get them lower but they are still half what a fan only cooled gpu would be.
missing out on games? Well i quite like Arma myself and also Dayz mods such as Epoch and Dayz Origins etc. Check out frankieonpcin1080p vids on youtube if you're not familiar with it. The new standalone is out too but it still seems to be work in progress at this stage. Planetside 2 is free on steam also.

What about a 360 rad added with the 240 between the CPU and GPU? That was my first thought.

Yeah, go for it if that's what you want. I'm sure it will provide a nice quiet system too, even with low speed fans.

Your temps are pretty good right now. You could add a rad to your loop between your cpu and gpu. It would lower your gpu temps but I am not sure by how much. I personally like to run dual loops, but I am cooling two gpu's.
