The all-in-one liquid CPU cooler market will soon get a bit more crowded as Zalman is preparing to unleash a new Reserator model, the Reserator 3 Max Dual. Seen at CES 2014, the upcoming cooler features a water block with a micro-fin copper base and an embedded pump, and a quite eye-catching radiator boasting a transparent cover, radial copper heatsinks and two 120 mm Blue LED-equipped fans that can operate at 1,000 to 2,300 RPM (max sound output is 37.2 dBA).

The Reserator 3 Max Dual supports Intel LGA 2011/1366/1156/1155/1150/775 and AMD Socket FM2/FM1/AM3(+)/AM2(+) processors and comes bundled with ZM-STG2M thermal grease. The cooler's price tag was not revealed.

Love Zalman, but I don't love this simply due to the fact that the fans are non-replacable. If one dies the unit dies!

I think the fans are mounted on much like the fans on their CNPS series. 3 little screws at the base or w/e. In which case they would be replaceable, though a little proprietary. Much like how GPU fans until recently were mostly mounted to the heatsink rather than by the fan shroud.

LR did a tear down of closed loop coolers and found that comparatively, the Zalman Reserator had very little coolant, almost non-existent, so I wouldn't keep my hopes up for this one either.

bottom left is zalman reserator.

I always found Zalman stuff a bit overated, never liked the reserator myself.

all these kits are made by asetek [ that is not so cool when it comes to support customers ] . the corsair one has an usb cable , i have a psu that has it too and its a great option .
by the way , these kits are for low-level cpu or quick checking of mainboards . the latest cpu are using 130 - 150 and latest gpu are around 300 w [both non overclocked..] to have a loop at 40 - 50 * c they need big radiators like 3x120 and a 4x180 and not a 2x120 that has not so much water ...
cool watercooling means plenty of water like 2-3 liter [or more if weather is very hot] that gets hotter and hotter during day , then during night the heat is released protecting the pc from cold . it s cool and silent as well as more economic than fans-air solutions

not trying to sound rude, but could it be due to their rad setup (i won't go indepth, i'll just say all pipe vs pipe and tank thats pretty much the reserator vs flat panel rad design) and also shorter pipes means less liquid in between pump and rad) that they have/need less coolant, and also hench why they use that nanofuild design, from what i understand about this nanofluid, is its using a refrigerant (my uncle is a hydraulic and Automotive Air conditioning expert of over 30 years says that even the simplest liquid refrigerant like this is similar to car a/c just not pressurized) suspended in the fluid to help heat transference so for the amount of heat they are transferring they shouldn't have to use the tank panel design radiator.

again not trying to come off rude and start a war, but just being honest and giving another viewpoint to look at, just cause in the past they have needed so much liquid, doesn't mean it will always be the case, you never know this could spark the next generation of cpu cooling, the reserator4 might actually be smaller than the 3, cause they found there was more than enough heat dissipation that they could reduce their rad design by half width. Granted i do see your point of more liquid = more ability to draw out heat = more chance of the liquid cooling down!

Please take what i say into consideration, and tell me your thoughts after you have looked at both sides fairly.
